New Availability of NitroPad V54, V56 With NVIDIA, Heads

The NitroPads V54 and V56 have already been available for several months, but not yet in all variants. Further variants are now available.

Dasharo UEFI/TianoCore is now also available for NitroPads V5x with NVIDIA graphics (previously only for Intel graphics). We will start shipping pre-orders of NitroPads V54 and V56 with NVIDIA graphics next week.

The availability of the firmware Heads for NitroPad V56 now has a planned date for the first time, namely December 2024. However, we cannot guarantee a punctual delivery before Christmas, but we expect to have delivered all NitroPads V56 with Heads and Intel graphics in the course of January.

Heads for NitroPad V54 with Intel graphics is planned next and should be ready in the first or second quarter of 2025.

Qubes for NitroPad V54 is not yet available due to a display resolution issue. A solution is still being worked on but there is no plan date yet. We can currently only recommend Qubes on the NitroPad V54 with an external screen. In addition, we plan to offer V5x with Full HD display from February 2025, which will not have this problem.

As soon as there is more news we will inform you here.

Für HEADS gibt es die ersten firmware images - die werden aber noch ein wenig brauchen - dieses Jahr könnte es aber die ersten Releases geben. Das wird aber noch ohne NVIDIA sein, damit rechnen wir wahrscheinlich erst im kommenden Jahr.

what about Nitropad V56 with Nvidia & Heads? Are these being shipped immediately after the Nitropads V56 with and Intel graphics have been shipped / is there a planned date? Or is there additional development time needed?

There is additional development ongoing, HEADS is in alpha/beta the first release is approaching here. NVIDIA is currently not plannable on a specific date, we target beginning of the year.

I am interested in v56 with heads and nvidia. Is beginning of the year like February? Or more like April, June?

Uh, I am sorry - just some days ago the decision was taken that this is the only combination (for both), which won't be available. The reasons range from high development complexity (thus efforts) to limited demand for this specific combination, but the exploding complexity here is the dominating factor. Depending where your priority is, the reasonable alternative would be w/o NVIDIA, but including HEADS - or the other way around. Furthermore, if you're looking for decent gfx you might want to take a look at the NitroPC Pro, if mobility is merely a sufficient and not a necessary requirement.

Thanks. If I buy a Nitropad with Heads today, when will it likely be shipped? End of January - or does this only apply to people who already bought it some time ago?

But HEADS is still being worked on? Will those combinations be removed from the configurator? HEADS is still default so it seems very easy to choose an option with the Nvidia GPU.

The specs for the display on the V56 have changed. Before it stated the 2560x1600 resolution screen was available for configurations with the 155H processor. Now it only lists that resolution panel for the configurations with nvidia graphics cards. I pre-ordered a V56 with HEADS and the 155H processor (intel integrated graphics, no nvidia). Does this mean I'm not going to receive the higher resolution display?
