How long does the shipping take?


  • Germany: 1-3 business days
  • EU: 2-5 business days
  • World wide: 5-10 business days

The shipping time applies on the day you receive your shipping confirmation from us and not from the day the order is placed. The information is based on average delivery times. Deviations by the shipping company are possible. Please note the production times indicated below the products under ' Provision time'.

When will my order be delivered?

Please note the delivery times in our online store. As soon as your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping notification by e-mail with all the necessary shipping information.

Can I collect my order in person and pay in cash?

Which shipping service providers do you offer?

We offer shipping with UPS and DHL.

Why is shipping so expensive?

We only ship goods with insured shipping. The shipping prices depend on the value of the goods and the country of delivery.

How much does shipping to X cost?

The shipping prices are displayed in our online store at checkout.

Pricing and VAT

Nitrokey GmbH has a heterogeneous customer base consisting of private and business customers from Germany, the EU and non-European countries. In addition, international shipments are always associated with greater effort and higher costs for us (e.g. customs export declarations, warranty cases, returns). Through our pricing we try to create a fair balance between our expenses, German and international customers, private and business customers. For this reason, the gross price (incl. VAT) for German customers corresponds to the net price (excl. VAT) for all non-European customers. This approach has been verified under tax law and is legally sound.

How is the Bitcoin exchange rate calculated?

At the time of ordering, our system takes the exchange rate from and adds 10% on top of it. The 10% are for our handling fees (exchanging Bitcoins back to Euro) and for the risk implicated by floating exchange rate. Consequently this fee is not refunded in case of an order revocation.

Is there a discount code?

We provide information about current discounts and promotions in news, in our newsletter and on our social media channels.
