I should add, my phone is pinging izatcloud.net 3 times every couple minutes, constantly. Even though I am not using (to my knowledge), any services that utilize any sort of global positioning. I use my bare-bones-de-googled phone almost exclusively as an additional camera, since it is not my primary phone. The phone just sits unused on my desk most of the time, with the screen locked. Yet it continues to contact izatcloud all the time. So much for "optional" or "most don't use it".
