The arguments are roughly the same as for the "Why not Ubuntu?" question just before. In summary: We have quite some Debian experience and we consider this an important factor. But admittedly we did not look into the "Civil Infrastructure Platform" in detail as the (Extended) Long-Term-Support provided by Debian itself is already pretty long.
