We are working hard to improve the situation, overall I can already today say that e.g., the update from 1.0.2 to 1.0.3 will not invalidate your user data and we also plan to keep it that way for further updates. Overall with or without this I would still recommend to make sure to have a 2nd method to log in into your FIDO2 protected accounts by either another FIDO2 device or whatever is possible with the targeted service like TOTP or other 2FA mechanisms.
