Qubes OS 4.2 wird offiziell unterstützt

Die fantastischen Leute von Qubes OS haben vor kurzem eine neue Version 4.2 von Qubes OS veröffentlicht. Diese Version verbessert die allgemeine Leistung und Benutzerfreundlichkeit. Einige der wichtigsten Highlights sind:

  • Dom0 mit Fedora 37
  • Verbesserungen der Kernanwendung
  • Upgrades der Vorlagen
  • PipeWire-Unterstützung


In den letzten Wochen haben wir durchgehend daran gearbeitet, dass alle unsere Nitropad und NitroPC, einschließlich der offiziell von Qubes zertifizierten Computer, mit der neuen Qubes OS Version 4.2 korrekt funktionieren.

Das bedeutet auch, dass alle unsere Produkte, auf denen Qubes OS vorinstalliert ist, nun mit Qubes OS 4.2 ausgeliefert werden. Um Ihr Nitropad oder NitroPC auf die neueste Qubes OS Version zu aktualisieren, können Sie dieser Anleitung folgen. Sie können die offiziellen Nitrokey OEM-Images für Qubes OS 4.2 hier finden.

No OEM 4.2 can be found under the 4.2 downlink link. Only version 4.0.4, 4.1.1 and 4.1.2. Where can I find the OEM version 4.2?

Please re-check they should be available now - was uploaded to the wrong directory.

There is still no OEM images for Qubes OS 4.2 available under the download link above, the latest Version is 4.1.2.

yes, we updated the location, the link should now point to the right location - thanks for pointing that out.

https://www.nitrokey.com/files/ci/nitropc/qubes-oem/sha256sum and https://www.nitrokey.com/files/ci/qubes/sha256sum both list images for 4.2 but the hashes are different. Why did they change from first upload?

uh, good catch, thank you - the first one was an old (test) image, we've removed it from the sha256sum file. The overall situation will improve soon as we are currently putting together a centralized page for all these downloads.
